My friends and I stumbled upon this really old bar on karaoke night in LB a couple nights ago. This one chubby girl, wearing baggy clothes and glasses, looking like Meg Griffin, came up and sang Glorybox by Portishead. Her voice was so beautiful that I was literally sobbing in between bites of this bland tamale I bought from a street vendor outside. I thought I recorded it but it turns out I took a picture instead. Anyway… it was a very profound moment for me.
